Real Food Films Contest 2016

reelfoodThe Contest is produced by Real Food Media, a collaborative initiative using online movies and a web-based action center along with grassroots events around the country to spread the stories of sustainable food and farming. Real Food Media is based out of Corporate Accountability International.

Our team of judges and advisors are looking for powerful films about sustainable food and farming. We’re seeking compelling stories, original voices, and stunning cinematography. We’re looking for coverage of underreported issues, innovative sustainability strategies, compelling stories of food producers and workers, and more. We seek films in diverse formats, from documentary to advocacy, from animated shorts to music videos. Be sure to watch our winning 2015 films to get inspired!

In addition to our Grand Prize and Runner Up Awards, we will be offering a Student Award as well as additional cash prizes for Best Cinematography, Best Underreported Issue, Best Food Producer Profile, Best Innovative Initiative, and Best Animation.

ALL FILMS MUST BE UNDER 4 MINUTES AND MUST:

  • Tell a story about food, farming, and sustainability;
  • Paint a picture of the challenges we face; or
  • Share creative solutions for a better food system.

Application deadline is March 1st. For more information, to go realfoodfilms.org.
